    26/01/2014 Republic Day Celebration:- 65 th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Vikalang Kanya Kunj. The General Secretary of our organization Mr. Laljibhai Prajapati hoisted the national flag. Disabled Students, staff and trustees attended the function. The disabled students of our Organization sang patriotic songs. Republic Day was also celebrated in our Bhachau branch. Mr. Vanrajsinh Jadeja hoisted the tricolor.   Trustee’s staff and elderly persons in our old age home remained present. 69 disabled students of our organization participated in a parade which was organized at Saraswati Vidhyalay, Madhapar.  

    18/01/2014 Participation in a cooking competition:- 5 visually impaired girls of Viklang Kanya Kunj participated in cooking competition held at Surendranagar organized by C.U. Shah Pragna Chakshu Mahila Seva Kunj. It is an exceptional competition for visually impaired girls. More than 250 visually impaired girls from all over Gujarat participated. Our girls performed well.

    14/01/2014 Patang Utsav Celebration :- The festival of uttrayan was celebrated at viklang vidhya vihar, viklang kanya kunj, ITC and old age home Bhachau. The students had sufficient numbers of kites and threads to fly at their disposal. The students enjoyed kite flying and relishing sugar cane, chikki and fruits.   

    12/01/2014 Donation from IFFCO & Surbhi ladies club:- IFFCO & Surbhi ladies club, Kandla, donated Rs. 2.68 Lakh to purchase mattress sets & 3 solar water heater systems for girl’s hostel in Vikalang Kanya Kunj. The director of IFFCO Mr. M. R. Patel & the president of Surbhi ladies club, Mrs. Kapilaben Patel handed over the cheque to the General Secretary in a function held at Vikalang Kanya Kunj. Officers of IFFCO and members of ladies club visited Vikalang Vidhya Vihar & Vikalang Kanya Kunj and admired the facilities and the activities provided to the disabled children. General Secretary of Organization Mr. Laljibhai Prajapati Vice President Mr. Hiralal Chawla, trustees Mr. Zinabhai Dabasia, Khimjibhai Vekariya & staff remained present in the function.  

    12/01/2014 Participation in music competition:- 12 Students of Vikalang Vidhya Vihar & Vikalang Kanya Kunj Participated in music competition at Vadodra organized by the Lions club of Vadodra. They performed well in classical, semiclacical folk & film song competition with 175 other visually impaired participants from all over Gujarat . Alpa Shah won 2 nd prize in the competition.

    04/01/2014 Participation in Braille reading competition:- 15 Visually Impaired students participated in Braille reading competition, which was organized on the occasion of birth anniversary of Louis Braille by The Blind People’s Association Bhuj. Saraiya Hemang and Solanki Shivaram were among the winners of the competition. Winners were given the Prizes in a small function.
