֎ 13/06/2024 TO 15/06/2024 STATE LEVEL CRICKET TOURNAMENT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED
A three-day state-level cricket tournament for visually impaired was held at Krishna Sports Ground Madhapar. A total of 26 teams from across the state participated in the tournament.
Opening Ceremony commenced with
the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. D.B. Zala (A.G.M, B.K.T Kutch),
D.D. Rana Saheb (B.K.T), Mr. Arjanbhai Bhudia (Former Sarpanch of Navavas
Madhapar), Mrs. Gangaben Maheshwari (Sarpanch of Junavas Madhapar), Taluka
Panchayat Member Mrs. Tushariben Vekaria, Mrs. Laxmiben Jaru, Mrs. Pravinaben
Rathod, Mrs. Bhanuben Bhudia, Sukhdev Singh Gajjar (Administrator, Navavas Gram
Panchayat), Pareshbhai Bhavsar, and Damjibhai Hadial (Representative of NAB).
Tripathi Saheb from Madhapar G.E.B, General Secretary of our organization Mr.
Laljibhai M. Prajapati, Trustees Mr. Harjibhai Lachhani and Mr. Damjibhai Oza,
and Chief Coordinator Mr. Dipakprasad were also in attendance. The guests
signaled the start of the tournament with a green flag during the march past.
Treasurer Mr. Zinabhai Dabasiya
welcomed and introduced all the guests who had come to encourage the players.
Secretary Mr. Himanshubhai Sompura provided detailed information about the
cricket tournament organized as part of the Khel Mahakumbh for visually
impaired players. All guests wished the participants well, encouraging them to
play with sportsmanship.
In the under-18 age group, the
Valsad team secured first place, followed by Ahmedabad in second and
Sabarkantha in third. In the above-18 category, Valsad again took first place,
with Ahmedabad in second and Banaskantha in third.
Winners were given medals&
certificates by Mukeshbhai Chande (Vice President, Kutch District BJP), Dr.
Hemaliben Chande, Madhapar PI Mr. Praveenbhai Rathod, Secretary of Sports and
Cultural Committee Mr. Dineshbhai Pandya, and Madhapar Kachchmitra Reporter Mr.
Maheshbhai Soni in prize distribution ceremony.
