26/01/2025: CELEBRATION OF 77TH REPUBLIC DAY
In a heartwarming display of patriotism and unity, the 77th
Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor at Divyang Kanyakunj, bringing
together over 400 disabled children, dedicated teachers, staff, and esteemed
trustees for a memorable event.
The inspiring
occasion saw a proud moment as a Para Olympian girl from Divyang Kanyakunj took
the honor of hoisting the National Flag, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of
determination and resilience. Mr. Laljibhai Prajapati, Secretary of the
organization Mr. Himanshubhai Sompura, delivered a rousing speech, instilling motivation
and inspiration among the attendees.
The celebration resonated with the harmonious
melodies of a patriotic song performed by disabled boys and girls from Divyang
Vidhya Vihar, Divyang Kanyakunj, and ITC/DRC, showcasing their unwavering love
for the nation. Adding to the emotional significance of the event, girls from
Divyang Kanyakunj presented the National symbol and monument through touching
posters and sign language, embodying their deep sense of pride and belonging.
As a poignant tribute to history, a two-minute
silence was observed to honor the victims of the devastating 2001 earthquake,
serving as a poignant reminder of resilience in the face of adversity.
The event was graced by the presence of Secretary
Himanshu Sompura, Treasurer Mr. Zinabhai Dabasiya, Trustees Mr. Harjibhai
Lachhani, Mr. Jadavjibhai Vekariya, Mr. apurvbhai Maheta, Mrs. Shilpaben
Maheta, Chief Coordinator Mr. Dipakprasad, Coordinators, principals, teachers,
staff, and students, creating an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie.
In another heartening display of national pride
and respect for tradition, Republic Day was also celebrated at the Old Age Home
in Bhachau. Here, elderly individuals were given the honor of hoisting the
National Flag, a gesture that underscored their enduring connection to their
homeland. Secretary Mr. Vanrajsinh Jadeja and dedicated staff were present to
witness this touching moment of reverence and unity.
The
celebrations at both Divyang Kanyakunj and the Old Age Home in Bhachau stand as
powerful testaments to the unbreakable spirit of unity and patriotism that
binds individuals across generations and backgrounds in the vibrant tapestry of
India's rich heritage.
