 01/10/2025: CELEBRATION OF “INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS – 2025” AT BHACHAU OLD AGE HOME

          Bhachau Old Age Home celebrated the International Day of Older Persons - 2025 with warmth, respect, and joy. The celebration was organized over two days and Created happy and memorable moments for all senior residents.

Day 1: 30/09/2025 – Rally and Games

            On the first day, a rally was organized with the support of Secretary Shri Vanrajsinh R. Jadeja, Member Shri Natubha Sodha, and staff members. The rally was conducted from the institution campus to Vondh Gate. During the rally, senior citizens raised awareness slogans related to old age issues.

            In the afternoon, various games and recreational activities were organized within the campus. All elderly residents enthusiastically participated and enjoyed cheerful moments together.

Day 2: 01/10/2025 – Main Program and Felicitation Ceremony

            The main program was held in the campus of the Vruddhashram Program Hall. The chief guests and dignitaries present were Shri Virendrasinh B. Jadeja, MLA, Rapar Constituency; Shri Janaksinh Jadeja, President, District Panchayat, Kutch–Bhuj; Shri Pethabhai Rathod, President, Bhachau Municipality; Shri N. S. Chauhan, District Social Defence Officer, Bhuj–Kutch; Shri Navneetbhai Gajjar, President, Kandla Timber Association, Gandhidham; Shri Himanshubhai Mehta, Member, Kandla Timber Association, Gandhidham; Shri M. P. Suthar, P.I., C.I.D., I.B.; and Rajendrasinh V. Jadeja, Member, Bhachau Municipality.

            All dignitaries were honored with mementos by Vice President Shri Hiralal R. Chavda, General Secretary Shri Laljibhai M. Prajapati, Treasurer Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya, Trustees Shri Khimjibhai Vekariya and Shri Damjibhai Oza, Secretary Shri Vanrajsinh R. Jadeja, and Chief Coordinator Shri Deepakbhai Prasad.

            At the beginning, Secretary Shri Himanshubhai Sompura introduced the organization. Senior residents Babubhai P. Patel and Chamanbhai B. Darji were honored with shawls by Shri Hiralal R. Chavda. Senior residents Prabhulal J. Soni and Chandulal T. Magtani were honored by Chief Guest Shri Virendrasinh Jadeja. Prizes were distributed to the senior residents who won the games held on 30/09/2025. These prizes were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bhachau.

            During the program, Shri Navneetbhai Gajjar, President, Kandla Timber Association, Gandhidham, announced a donation of ₹51,000 (Rupees Fifty-One Thousand Only) for the organization.

            In the concluding session, the Vice President addressed the gathering. The stage was then opened for senior residents to express their thoughts. Gautambhai Solanki, Babubhai Patel, Kailashbhai Jethwani, and Ansuyaben expressed their gratitude and happiness towards the trustees and organizers. Treasurer Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya delivered the vote of thanks. The entire program was smoothly conducted by Shri Deepaben Nai and Leelaben Pandya. The celebration concluded with smiles, respect, and a strong message of dignity and care for senior citizens.

֎ 16/06/2024: ATHLETICS STATE LEVEL COMPETITION FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

            The Department of Sports, Youth, and Cultural Activities, along with the Sports Authority of Gujarat Gandhinagar, organized state-level special athletics competition under the Khel Mahakumbh. This event was jointly hosted by the District Sports Development office, Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal Madhapar, and Navchetan Divyang Sports and Cricket Academy at Krishna Sports Ground, Madhapar.           The Khel Mahakumbh featured special competitions across 29 districts in Gujarat, with approximately 450 visually impaired athletes participating. Competitions included events such as the 100-meter run, long jump, shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw for age groups above and below 18.
