06/08/2025: RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATED WITH BSF JAWANS AT LAKKI NALA
On the sacred occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special celebration was organized for the soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF) stationed at Lakki Nala Border Check Post.
Differently-abled
girls from Navchetan Andhjan Mandal – Madhapar, women from Muktjivan Swamibapa
Women’s College, Bhuj, and members of Nari Shakti Mahila Mandal visited the
post and tied rakhi on the wrists of the soldiers. They expressed affection,
shared sweets, and conveyed blessings with deep respect.
Assistant
Commander Shri Chandreshwar appreciated the gesture and stated that such love
shown by the sisters would be remembered for a lifetime. Inspector Shanti
Banerjee also expressed gratitude, noting that this affection inspires greater
dedication in duty.
The programme
was supported by Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya, Treasurer of Shri Navchetan Mandal;
Mayurbhai Vyas from Gujarat Police; Tushariben Vekariya, President of Nari
Shakti Mahila Mandal; Taluka Panchayat Member Pragnaba Jadeja from the women’s
college; and social worker Vinodbhai Solanki.
All soldiers
received sweet packets, and all women were presented with cash gifts. Zinabhai
Dabasiya spoke on the importance of rakhis made by differently-abled girls with
their own hands.
The
programme was coordinated by Rimaben Bhatia, Coordinator of Shri Navchetan
Mandal, with support from Neetaben Solanki, Varshaben Solanki, Daxaben Patel,
Deepakbhai Rajgor, Pravinbhai (President of Pat Hanumanji), Shantaben Khokhani,
Dilipbhai Chauhan, Vishrambhai Pindoria, and Manojbhai Bhatt.
The soldiers
also arranged boating for the sisters. After the Lakki Nala programme, the
group visited Lakhpat Gurudwara, where they learned about Sikh history and
offered prayers. BJP Vice President Jayantbhai Madhapariya coordinated
arrangements at Lakhpat Gurudwara, and Kirtibhai Varsani, Trustee of Muktjivan
Swamibapa Women’s College, arranged bus transportation.
