19/02/2026: EMPOWERING SIGHT THROUGH TOUCH: WORKSHOP ON TACTILE GRAPHICS FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

In its continuous endeavour to bridge the educational gap for the visually impaired, Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal organized a specialized one-day training programme focused on the implementation and utilization of Tactile Graphics - a revolutionary tool designed to enhance the learning experience for students with visual challenges.

Recognizing the need for sophisticated educational aids, the organization Vision Aid generously contributed a set of specialized Tactile Graphics books valued between Rupees 60,000 to 70,000 - specifically curated for blind and visually impaired students. These materials were developed by the Raise Line Foundation, New Delhi, and feature raised imagery (precisely embossed diagrams and maps), comprehensive Braille text integration, and tactile pedagogy covering Mathematics, Science, and Geography.

To ensure these high-tech resources are integrated effectively into the classroom, Kanakben, a representative from the Raise Line Foundation, conducted a comprehensive one-day training session. Approximately 40 students and teachers participated enthusiastically, with educators acquiring skills to teach complex concepts using touch-based graphics while students explored new ways of independent learning. This initiative marks a significant milestone in making quality education more accessible and intuitive for the students of Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal.
