25/12/2025: GRAND CELEBRATION OF THE GOLDEN JUBILEE OF NAVCHETAN ANDHJAN MANDAL

 

           Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal completed 50 years of dedicated service, which was marked by a grand Golden Jubilee celebration attended by around 800 people. During the programme, 20 organizations working in the field of disability in Kutch district were felicitated, and a special Employee Award Ceremony was held.

            The programme was organized at Divyang Kanyakunj and began with a prayer by Divyang children. Secretary Shri Himanshubhai Sompura welcomed the guests and presented a brief overview of the organization’s 50-year journey, achievements, and activities.

            The living members of the first Executive Committee formed in 1976 were felicitated. Thereafter, 20 disability organizations of Kachchh were felicitated in the presence of dignitaries Shri Magnalal Arjan Gala, Shri Shashikant K. Vekariya, Vascroft Foundation, Shri Kishorbhai Nardani, Friends of Kera UK, Shri Vaghjibhai K. Vaghjiyani, Shri Laljibhai Varsani, Care Education, Shri Rameshbhai Vijpar Nishar, Trustee of Kutchhi Leva Patel Samaj Shri Ravjibhai Gorasia, President of Leva Patel UK Samaj Shri Mavjibhai Dhanjibhai Vekariya, Sarpanch of Navavas Shri Valjibhai Ahir, Sarpanch of Junavas Smt. Gangaben Maheshwari, Member of District Panchayat Smt. Parulben Kara, Member of Taluka Panchayat Shri Ashvinbhai Vora (UK), Shri Devjibhai Dabasiya (Nairobi), Past District Governor, Lions Club Shri Bharatbhai Mehta, Shri Shambhubhai Ahir, Chairman, APMC Former Finance Minister Shri Babubhai Meghji Shah, Shri Liladharbhai Gada, and Shri Nareshbhai Chauhan, Social Defence Officer.

            Students presented a drama titled “Navchetan,” depicting the organization’s history.

            The Late Karsan Meghji Vekariya Award was presented to Shri Gauravbhai Parikh by Shri Shashikant Vekariya. The Late Champshibhai D. Nandu Award was presented to Visually Impaired teacher Shri Himmatbhai Rajaram Kapure by Shri Rohitbhai Nandu.

            For outstanding service, staff members were honoured as follows:

            Shri Vimalkumar Arjan Parmar - Shri Bhanukant L. Thakkar Award, presented by Vice President Shri Hiralal Chawla. Shri Rasilaben Manji Hirani - Late Kunvarji Velji Lachhani Award, presented by Shri Harjibhai Lachhani. Shrimati Nishaben Vijaybhai Bhudiya - Late Karsan L. Vekariya Award, presented by Shri Kishorbhai Naradani of Friends of Kera UK. Shri Dhanjibhai Lakhu Chavda - Late Radhaben G. Dabasiya Award, presented by Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya.

            Scholarship cheque were awarded to Samyak Sanghvi and Kana Ahir by Shri Jadavjibhai Varsani of Ramji Kanji Hirani Charitable Trust for securing the highest marks among Divyang students in Standards 10 and 12 in Kutch.

            The programme was successfully organized through the efforts of General Secretary Shri Laljibhai Prajapati, Trustees and Executive Members Vanrajsinh Jadeja, Khimjibhai Vekariya, Jharanaben Vyas, Damjibhai Oza, Hothuji Jadeja, Sumitraben Gadhvi, Harjibhai Lachhani, and Jadavjibhai Vekariya, along with Chief Coordinator Shri Dipak Prasad and all staff members. The programme was smoothly conducted by Rimaben Bhatiya and Madhviben Dave. The vote of thanks was delivered by Treasurer Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya.
