27/04/2026 to 29/04/2026: Students of Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal Embark on an Educational Journey to Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar

                  Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal, Madhapar, organized an enriching three-day educational excursion for students of Grades 6 to 8, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the historical and cultural landmarks of Gujarat. A total of 48 students with disabilities participated in this journey, including 23 students from the Divyang Vidhya Vihar and DRC department, and 25 students from Divyang Kanyakunj. The group was accompanied and mentored by five dedicated teachers who ensured a safe and informative experience for all.

The primary objective of this trip was to broaden the students' horizons by offering first-hand exposure to the state’s rich heritage, architecture, and natural wonders.

            The journey commenced early in the morning as the group departed from Madhapar for Ahmedabad. The first stop was the iconic Sabarmati Ashram, where students paid their respects at the residence of Mahatma Gandhi, imbibing the values of peace and simplicity. The afternoon was spent admiring modern urban marvels, including the Atal Bridge and the scenic Sabarmati Riverfront. The day concluded with a visit to the historic Kankaria Lake, where students enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. The group was graciously hosted for dinner and an overnight stay at the SGVP Swaminarayan Gurukul in Chharodi.

            On the second day, the students traveled to the capital city, Gandhinagar. The itinerary began with a visit to the Adalaj Stepwell, where the students marveled at the intricate historical carvings. This was followed by an educational visit to Indroda Park, allowing the students to observe diverse flora and fauna. After exploring the Dandi Kutir museum, the group enjoyed a nutritious lunch at the Adalaj Trimandir. The evening was dedicated to the Akshardham Temple, where the students were enthralled by the grand exhibits and the spectacular water show.

            On the morning of April 29, 2026, the group departed from the Gurukul to begin their return journey. All students reached Madhapar safely, carrying with them a wealth of knowledge and cherished memories. This educational trip proved to be a profoundly happy and inspiring experience, fostering a sense of curiosity and confidence among the young learners.

֎ 16/06/2024: ATHLETICS STATE LEVEL COMPETITION FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

            The Department of Sports, Youth, and Cultural Activities, along with the Sports Authority of Gujarat Gandhinagar, organized state-level special athletics competition under the Khel Mahakumbh. This event was jointly hosted by the District Sports Development office, Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal Madhapar, and Navchetan Divyang Sports and Cricket Academy at Krishna Sports Ground, Madhapar.           The Khel Mahakumbh featured special competitions across 29 districts in Gujarat, with approximately 450 visually impaired athletes participating. Competitions included events such as the 100-meter run, long jump, shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw for age groups above and below 18.
