04/12/2025: GRAND CELEBRATION OF WORLD DISABILITY DAY

            Adani Foundation and Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal, Madhapar, jointly organized a grand and joyful celebration of World Disability Day. The main objective of the programme was to honour persons with disabilities, felicited their talents and achievements, and strengthen their connection with the mainstream of society. More than 300 persons with disabilities attended the programme, making it highly successful.

            The programme began with a traditional prayer, creating a positive and peaceful atmosphere. On this occasion, the achievements of persons with disabilities were specially appreciated. Shri K. B. Gupta, Deputy Site Head of Adani Mundra Petrochemical, congratulated and honoured persons with disabilities who had won at national and international levels in Goalball, filling the gathering with pride.

            General Secretary of our organization Shri Laljibhai Prajapati praised the various initiatives undertaken by Adani Foundation for persons with disabilities. Shri Kishorbhai from Adani Foundation shared detailed information about their work and strengthened mutual cooperation. District Social Defence Officer Shri Nareshbhai Chauhan encouraged persons with disabilities and extended his best wishes.

            Special emphasis was placed on digital empowerment. Training was provided on Government of India initiatives such as Sugamya Bharat, Aditi Chatboat, shravan and IBR Service apps for persons with disabilities, with the aim of enabling them to use technology for greater independence.

            During the programme, Secretary of the organization Shri Himanshubhai Sompura shared information about the various activities of the organization. Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal presented a Momento of appreciation to Adani Foundation through its trustees. Adani Foundation also distributed useful educational kits to all participating students and trainees with disabilities.

            The programme was attended by trustees Shri Damjibhai Oza, Jadavjibhai Vekariya, and Harjibhai Lachhani; Chief Coordinator Dipakprasad; and Adani Foundation representatives Rajubhai Solanki and Pritiben Kareliya. Deputy Project Manager of Adani Foundation, Karsanbhai Gadhavi, delivered the welcome address. The entire programme was smoothly conducted by Rimaben Bhatia. Treasurer Shri Zinabhai Dabasiya presented the vote of thanks.

֎ 16/06/2024: ATHLETICS STATE LEVEL COMPETITION FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

            The Department of Sports, Youth, and Cultural Activities, along with the Sports Authority of Gujarat Gandhinagar, organized state-level special athletics competition under the Khel Mahakumbh. This event was jointly hosted by the District Sports Development office, Shri Navchetan Andhjan Mandal Madhapar, and Navchetan Divyang Sports and Cricket Academy at Krishna Sports Ground, Madhapar.           The Khel Mahakumbh featured special competitions across 29 districts in Gujarat, with approximately 450 visually impaired athletes participating. Competitions included events such as the 100-meter run, long jump, shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw for age groups above and below 18.
