It is with deep shock and grief we announce the sudden death of our Vice President Shri Arjanbhai KarsanVekaria. Late Shri Arjanbai, a philanthropist, a social worker, an advocate for  dignity and respect for people with disabilities, died on 23rd November 2013. He was 59. Sri Arjanbhai was born in Madhapar on 6th December 1954  and was educated in India , Uganda and the U.K. He was residing in London and was one of the Managing Directors of Vascroft Construction Ltd. U.K. Sri Arjanbhai had been the vice president of this organization since 1996. He was elected as Vice president on the death of his father late Shri Karsanbhai Vekaria in 1996. Late Karsanbhai was also the vice president of the organization then and was the founder of  Viklang Kanyakunj, Madhapar. ◌   શ્રધ્ધાંજલિ   ◌ પ્રતિજ્ઞા પિતા તણી પાળવા થયો નાખુદો ; નવચેતન નૈયા તણો. સઠ સુકાન સંભાળ્યા નિ:શકતો ને સ:શકત કરવા સહિ ; હામ હૈયે ભરી હોળી હંકારતો તું. પુછતો હર પલ વિચારતો વિકલાંગ વ્યથા ઘણી ; નવચેતન નો તું મહારથી, વિકલાંગો નો હતો વાલી. દિન -દુ:ખીઓ નો હમદર્દ તું, અનેક સંસ્થા તણો તું સારથી ; નવચેતન નું ચેતન ગયું, ઓજસ ગયું મુઝ તણું. હે અર્જુન ! તુજ તેજ હિન હું પણ નથી રહયો ; તારીખ ૨૩/૧૧ ના ફોન પર વાતો વિકાસ ની ઘણી કરી. ષષ્ટીપૂર્તિ સાથે કરવા આપી કોલ અંતિમ સમય કહેવા પણ તું ના રહયો ; હે અર્જુન ! તુજ તેજ હિન હું પણ નથી રહયો. શ્રધ્ધાસુમન સમર્પિત સાદર ; ઓ ભાઇ ! તને અંતરયાદ રહી હરદિન તુજ તેજ હિન અર્જુન ! હું પણ નથી રહયો.

18/10/2013 “Sarad Purnima” Celebration; A programme to celebrate “Sarad Purnima” was held at Vikalang Vidhya Vihar. All the students, staff, trustees and gusts participated. “Garba” and “Dandiya” were organised. A “Garba” competition was organized for the students and others in different categories. All the winners were given the prizes by trustees. “Dudh Pauva” was served at the end of function. Blind students provided melodious music for the event.

Disabled performed Garba & Dandia on the beach of Mandavi 24 disabled boys & girls of our organization performed garba & Dandia on the beach of mandavi in “AApni Navratri” a yearly event of Beach Navratri organized to promotes the tredisnal garba and dandia. They performed in front of more than 5000 people and won the prizes.

28/08/2013 Krishna Janmastmi Celebration:- Krishna Janmastmi was celebrated in our old age home at Bhachau. Elderly people of old age home kept the fast and sung bhajan in the evening. 21/08/2013            Celebration of Raksha Bandhan:- “Raksha Bandhan” a festival of divine attachment between brother & sister was celebrated in the prayer hall at Vikalang Vidhya Vihar. Girls of Vikalang Kanya Kunj tied the Rakhi a symbol of brotherly love to boys of the Vikalang Vidhya Vihar. They also tied rakhies to the General secretary Mr. Laljibhai Prajapati, Joint Secretary Mr. Zinabhai Dabasiya, Ass. Secretary Mr. Himanshu Sompura, Trustees Mr. Khimjibhai Vekariya, Mr. Muljibhai Dabasiya, Mr. Harjibhai Hirani & staff. The girls also sent more than 5500 Rakhis to our members, donors and well-wishers all over the world by post. . The rakhies were made by the girls of Vikalang Kanya Kunj.
